Aligning for Oregon’s Future
Pledge to Fully Fund
Oregon Public Education
We know that our schools need enough money to give every student a chance for a bright future. We believe that when we invest in schools, we’re helping Oregon grow and innovate. Great schools help our communities, businesses, and workers.
We acknowledge that a fully funded quality education for the 2025-27 biennium requires:
$12.705B legislative State School Fund appropriation, and $822M Student Success Act Transfer, for a total of $13.526 billion (pg, 1. 2024 QEM Executive Report); and
Equal opportunity and access to high quality early learning programs; and
Investments in student mental health and well being; and
Support for social and emotional skill development; and
Community partnerships between schools, districts and key student service providers; and
Transparency and Accountability
To help make this happen, we promise to:
Talk to Lawmakers: We will contact Oregon lawmakers and ask them to make sure our schools get the money they need. We’ll do this by calling, emailing, or meeting with them. We’ll also write letters and join campaigns that support our schools.
Use Our Influence: We will talk to other leaders in the community to get more people to support funding for schools.
Teach Others: We will share with our friends, family, employees, customers, and neighbors why it’s important to fully fund Oregon schools. We want everyone to understand how this will help all of us in the future.
We know that funding our schools is one of the best ways to make sure Oregon’s future is strong. Together, we can make sure all Oregon kids have the chance to do well in school and in life.
Thank you to our event sponsors!
